AURORA HISTORY MUSEUM/HISTORIC SITES

Opportunities for participation at the Aurora History Museum/Historic Sites in 2006:


1.  Scheduling open hours at the Round Barn - Saturday or Sunday afternoons during the Holidays at the Homestead event (November-December)
2.  Improving classroom/workshop space inside the Milk Barn - six days
3.  Exhibit installation/tear down: painting, carpentry, etc. - six times each year
4.  Tour assistance at the Museum or Historic Sites- on call as needed with large groups
5.  Digitization/scanning of Museum’s photo archive collection - 4-8 hours/week
6.  Digitization/filming of the permanent three-dimensional Museum collection  -  4-8 hours/week
7.  Marketing: sending press releases to select publications - 4-6 hours/month
8.  Take digital camera shots of Museum/Historic Sites activities - 2 hours/week
9.  Video-camera filming of oral history subjects at the Museum - 3 hours/week
10.  Volunteer to work on Saturdays at Centennial House - 12 Saturdays in the summer
11.  Model train builder for original Aurora exhibit - six months
